Singapore, 1 February 2010 – Having been around since 1983, Parkway on Coleman, previously known as Parkway Thai, has a long history in Singapore – and now we would like to pay it forward and give back to the community.
The “Food for Love” month-long food drive encompasses the idea of emotional stimulus for action. Aside from their own passion for food, we are hoping to encourage individuals to look beyond and see the need for emotional nourishment, the need to be compassionate for others.
Metta Welfare Association is the chosen charity for this food drive. A staple provider of quality health care and welfare services to the needy regardless of race or religion, Metta Welfare Association will be working alongside Parkway on Coleman to initiate an island-wide outreach for love and compassion this 2010.
The festivities are over, but the sharing of love and joy should be never-ending. Starting 15th March 2010, $2 proceeds from every order of Parkway on Coleman’s Hi-Tea menu will go to the Metta Welfare Association to aid in their advocation of providing for the needy and the less fortunate.
In the coming day and age, it is very easy to lose oneself in the evolution of society and this world that we live in, therefore, “Food for Love” comes in to play to remind us all that with every mouthful, we can be sharing it with someone else, after all, food always taste better when shared, does it not?
Parkway on Coleman is located at 23A Coleman Street, and the Hi-Tea menu is available Mon-Fri from 2.30pm to 5.30pm at $15 nett for adults.
