Singapore, 29 March 2010 - Carousel is proud to announce that it has been selected as the best buffet restaurant in the People’s Choice Awards 2009.
Organised by AsiaOne, Singapore’s leading internet portal, the award recognises outstanding achievements and successful branding of products across industries in Asia. Nominations were made by thousands of AsiaOne’s fans and visitors from 8 October to 31 October 2009 across 25 categories. The final results were decided by distinguished industry professionals and editorial veterans from SPH publications and based entirely on the popularity votes cast.
The winners can truly be proud of their achievements which further affirmed the opinion of a high-calibre audience who visits the AsiaOne portal. Patrick Fiat, General Manager, and Abraham Tan, Executive Culinary Chef, of Royal Plaza on Scotts, received the Best Buffet Restaurant Award from the Guest-of-Honour, Ms Jessica Tan, Chairperson of Group
Parliamentary Committee, Finance and Trade & Industry on Wednesday, 29 March 2010, at a ceremony held at the auditorium of News Centre, Singapore Press Holdings.

For us, the People’s Choice Award is a seal of approval. 3 years after being selected as the Best Buffet Restaurant by The Straits Times, it is heartening for the team to be reassured of our continued efforts to provide the best quality buffet and service level in the restaurant. The challenge for us now will be to maintain the honour and continue to re-invent ourselves based on guests’ feedback.
