Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore presents a maternal tribute with the “Mother’s Day Retreat” weekend room package.  During weekends in May 2010, mothers can immerse themselves in tranquillity at the tropical Garden Wing, Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore.  The Garden Wing Deluxe Room rate will be S$468 on the first night and S$188 on the second night. Rates will alternate throughout the stay.  The Mother’s Day Retreat room package includes the following privileges: 


  • One carnation upon check-in
  • Complimentary daily American breakfast for two adults
  • Complimentary scheduled shuttle service to Orchard Road and parking facilities
  • Complimentary usage of the pool, pitch-and-putt golf course and Health Club facilities
 
The Mother’s Day Retreat package is valid for arrivals on Fridays and Saturdays in May 2010 and has no minimum stay requirements, although guests have to check-out no later than the following Monday.  These special rates are applicable for the same stay only.  Room rates include 10 per cent service charge and 7 per cent government tax.  Prior reservations are required and bookings are subject to availability.

Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort and Spa, Maldives, launches tailor-made itineraries for exclusive yet sustainable top-level executive retreats and team buildings on a private island.  From an authentic bicycle tour on the neighbouring local islands to a sunset sailing cruise aboard the resort’s luxury yacht, the resort offers multiple options for a successful incentive programme without compromising on the need for an earth-friendly and socially responsible lifestyle.  


As part of its continuous effort to protect the environment and sustain the local community, the resort has created incentive packages offering luxurious accommodation paired with green activities and dining options.

From 27 March until 11 April 2010, Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort and Spa, Maldives celebrates its first Easter season with an exclusive offer for stays in Water Villas and Tree House Villas as well as special activities to suit families and couples alike. 


The offer includes one free night for each night paid, giving guests the opportunity to stay up to two weeks for the price of one.  The promotion also features a guaranteed upgrade from Pool Villa to Water Villa and from Deluxe Pool Villa to Tree House Villa.  In addition, families can enjoy up to two complimentary extra beds for children below 12 years old when sharing a villa with their parents.

SHANGRI-LA HOTEL, WENZHOU CELEBRATES WITH A GRAND OPENING PACKAGE

HONG KONG (18 November 2009) – Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Asia Pacific’s leading luxury hotel group, celebrates the grand opening of Shangri-La Hotel, Wenzhou with an opening rate of RMB888 per night for a deluxe room. Valid until 28 February 2010, the opening rate includes daily breakfast and marks the completion of all facilities at the hotel, which is one of three Shangri-La properties in China’s southern Zhejiang province.   


Located on the southeast coast of China, between the two economic zones of the Pearl River and Yangtze River deltas, Wenzhou is the economic, cultural and communications centre of the province.  It has been a principal trading port in China since the Tang Dynasty and is also well known for the production of small commodities and crafts including boxwood carving and embroidery. The area surrounding Wenzhou is renowned for its natural beauty including the landscapes of the Yadang Mountain and Nanxi River.  


Ideally placed in the centre of the new development area of Wenzhou, the hotel is next to the Wenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre, approximately three kilometres from government offices, and a 25-minute drive from Wenzhou Yongqiang Airport.   


The 409 tastefully appointed guestrooms and suites offer panoramic river and mountain views with amenities including: complimentary broadband Internet access; a 37-inch high-definition television with satellite and cable programmes; an executive writing desk with international multi-plug sockets; and a spacious marble bathroom. The hotel’s restaurants and lounges include O Café serving international cuisine from live theatre kitchens; Shang Palace serving the Zhejiang province’s Ou cuisine and Cantonese specialities in a main dining room and 17 private dining rooms; and the spacious Lobby Lounge. Facilities at the hotel also include a fully equipped fitness centre, sauna, floodlit outdoor tennis court, and a 25 metre indoor heated swimming pool.  


For events, Shangri-La Hotel, Wenzhou features a 1,700-square-metre pillarless Grand Ballroom with a ceiling height of nine metres, capable of accommodating up to 2,000 guests for cocktail receptions or 1,200 for dinner banquets – the largest in the city. At Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort and Spa, Maldives, guests can enjoy the traditional European festive season with a difference.  Whether guests are looking for a family vacation, a romantic getaway or an escape from the usual Christmas atmosphere, the resort offers it all.
